This will increase your time and effort to do the project then. If I remember correctly, you're on a rather tight deadline. You won't be best leveraging the technology you've selected for your project, and for very dubious reasons. (Not much more logical than "Because we said so.")


If you're OK with all of that, and your backers are OK with all of that, then that's what you'll do. But a bogus requirement is still bogus, and when it's brought up we're going to point that out.
