Hi All,
I like to lag a bit behind when it comes to software updates, for good
reason, and now that it9s been awhile I9m wondering if it9s safe to
update
my WebObjects to 5.2.3 and Java to 1.4.2.
Anybody have any problems using these updates?

I do. I had a D2JC application, and decided to go wild ;-). I installed
1.4.2Dp2 (1.4.2_04 in Sun lingo), had already installed 10.3.4 and
XCode1.2. Some applications did not work and so I reinstalled
WO5.2Developer. Somehow, 5.2.3 did not get installed via Software
Update. I do not know why that is. First I thought it solved the
problems, but then again data with customized client and server
business logic did not work properly.
Now I am contemplating of installing 5.2.3 manually, or is it on
purpose that 5.2.3 is not offered via Software Update?
I'd really like Apple to have some official status on the different
components that WebObjects has, and the stability of these solutions
under different JVM's (1.3.1, 1.4.1, 1.4.2, 1.4.2DPX) and OS's (10.2.8,
10.3.4). It seems that especially D2JC and D2W have problems. Anybody
else would like to comment?
