There are two books that I would recommend. To get started, I'd pick up WebObjects 5 for Mac OS X: Visual QuickPro Guide

On one hand yes. I did read it from cover to cover and it really DOES provide some basics for things that Apple's tutorials do not even hint to, and that are actually essential. So, in a way it is a good point to start gaining depth. On the other side, it provides some techniques that are simply highly unadvised and that one has to unlearn himself. One thing that comes to mind is creating a new EO and setting values before inserting into the ec.

I did follow that thread on setting before inserting and when it _could_ make problems and so on, but I still think it is a very sloppy approach to practice an inadvisable, risky technique (until you know a hell lot more on EOF) in a tutorial book. There I find it a bit disappointing.

However, I did read it and survived and even learned a lot. And I don't know another easy tutorial book on that level of WO, so...

Just be careful in accepting all the wisdom of Marker's book. And look into more advanced Apple info while on the topic described, as well as the API.

Cheers Flor
