Well, the Objective-C community for OS X is pretty big.. Don't really
know much about the Java one.
Of course all (or almost all) WebObjects users use Java on OS X. But I
think most of the other Java work being done on OS X is mainly by
people porting stuff over from other platforms or creating apps where
cross platform compatibility is the number one goal. I don't think
many OS X developers would *choose* Java for an OS X only app since
Cocoa is based around Objective-C, and Objective-C is a very nice
language to program it..

Dear List
I have a development product for Java which currently runs on various
platforms other than Mac OS X. I am considering porting this to Mac OS
X, however the effort involved is quite considerable (several man
years in fact) and before embarking on such a large project wanted to
gain some
understanding of the number of Java developers on the Mac platform.
Does anyone have any ideas of how large the Java developer (or for
that
matter the Objective C) community is on the Mac ? Any pointers to this
information would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Vince
