Not scientific, but here goes.
At our University, OS X powerbooks are increasingly becoming the system
of choice for Java developers and Unix systems people. I have had a
number of developers who used to use Wintel books request Powerbooks as
replacement systems. Looking around a conferences, I also a significant
number of Powerbooks.
