OK -

It only doesn't seem to work from WO. I tested the queries via QuantumDB a plugin for eclipse and they work. So I guess
you must be right (like always), so how difficult is a plugin to write? And I don't have Practical WebObjects on me, it is at
home at the moment. Is the answer in there? ;-)

Otherwise, any pointers to example plugins etc would be great as I can't use straight jdbc for this area of my application.

And if it only does not work from WO, there may be restrictions in DB2 on using bindings with these functions. Plugin time! :-)

All queries that generate UPPER in them crash!

Maybe explain what this means a little better.

This is related to my other question where I was using CaseInsensitiveLike, I got around that one
by just using a straight SQL call as I was only testing for existence.

HOWEVER, my very cool report generator that uses DTW will not work if any of the queries create
an UPPER in the SQL. However, if I cut and paste the generated sql from the exception it will work?!!!!

In the vague recesses of my memory, I barely recall something about the DB2 JDBC driver not liking the UPPER function on certain data types. IIRC, we eventually just used a collation.

Here's a link that might help:
