We need to remember that Wikipedia is designed for entries of encyclopedic
standard... it's most definately not a PR site for WebObjects or anything
else!

I took a long hard look at that entry when I first came across it - some time ago - but I couldn't find much to fault, although the general tone is more downbeat than I would like. I think "tone" is something that it is permissible to upgrade :-).

One thing:

With many early adopters having since switched to alternative technologies,

I didn't think this was entirely fair. With any technology, most early adopters will switch sooner or later; that is the nature of being an early adopter.

A fair (ie not just WO propoganda) comaprision with Rails could usefully be attached to the "OSS Alternatives" section.

And possibly we could write a proper disadvantages section here? eg

"Disadvantages of WebObjects

Apart from the compelling advantages listed above, a number of disadvantages should also be considered:

- Closed source. WebObjects is a proprietary package, all source being controlled closely by Apple.

- Apple ownership. Some businesses try to avoid involvement with Apple technologies, for whatever reasons they might have, logical or otherwise.

- Small deployed base. There is not a large pool of trained developers to plunder to staff a new project, and this is often claimed as the main reason a project passes over WebObjects."

That isn't meant to be either complete or accurate - an ideal Wikipedia entry, I suppose.
