I did use ARD 2.2 to copy WO apps and frameworks to a customer's site
with no problem (well, no problems beside Cisco's VPN client...).
I've been trying to use Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) v2 to copy
applications and frameworks from my laptop, where I build them, to a
test deployment machine (a trusty old Cube) a couple of thousand
millimeters across my office!
The frameworks copy just perfectly, even preserving those cute
Version/Current/A symlinks that XCode makes, but applications will not
copy. ARD reports:
"Failed to communicate with 1 of 1 computers. Didn't copy
"netdb.woa" ....
I suspect ARD doesn't see *.woa as a folder and treats the
bundle like it would a file, and that won't work. On the other hand,
it's moving *.wo bundles and it'll move *.app bundles. I wondered if
anyone has experience with this. I've got other ways to move the work
from laptop to Cube, so I'm not stuck -- but it seems this should
work. Puzzled ... Gavin
