State of WebObjects

Hi,

I am researching WO for use in an upcoming project.

Since I am new to this list, I do not have a feel for what is going on with WO or the WO Community.

I would love to hear Good/Bad comments concerning the WO Development Environment. Any comparison to Ruby on Rails would be helpful, as well.

I might also point out that I am new to Object-Based Programming, thus, I will need to devote substantial time acquiring the needed skills. That is why I ask about the State of WebObjects... is it worth investing one's valuable time or has it been superceded by new, improved technologies?

Thanks for any comments.

Scott
