Just a quick note. I've been a lurker on this list for quite a while under a different email address. I finally joined with this address because I wasn't seeing a lot of traffic that could help me learn WebObjects.

I finally decided Monday to join under my personal address so I could safely post.

i just wanted to thank you all for the helpful replies. I am hoping that by exposing my own ignorance to all of you, it can help others following me. Again, thanks to all of you for bearing with my ignorant questions and posting very informative replies.

I DO have most of the documentation that I can find for WebObjects. I have been pouring over them over the past bit (its actually been close to 6 months). I see a lot of docs that will be useful once the initial learning hurdle is overcome. The closest thing to a true beginner document I have found is the WebObjects for Windows Developers book. I also have the Practical Webobjects book, but again, as others have mentioned, it is not for beginners.

I look forward to Chuck's new book and wish it were ready now. Twould save me much frustration I am sure.

Again, thanks to all of you for your responses and help.

Jeff Pearson
