newbie question

Hi everyone,

I'm totally new to webobjects. I was just looking around for
something to fit my needs for a project I was thinking of doing and
webobjects seemed perfect. Only problem was that I at the same time I
just discovered that all the dev. tools have been deprecated by apple. :(
So, it looks like it may not be the best time to start using it I guess.
Can anyone tell me if it is even worth the effort to start putting all my
time into learning this new technology, or am I better off just looking to
some kind of J2EE solution since I have nothing invested in WO yet? And
if so, what comes closest in functionality to WO?

Thank you very much.

-Mike
