nothing wrong with groovy or Grails. For a statically typed, OO & functional lang I'm liking scala. But whatever gets the job done and keeps things interesting... :)

admittedly the docs for lift have (for an intro) too much info... it needs some more quickstart guides. But it is a very cool and powerful framework. The templates are very nicely done: there's no logic in the display code, etc. Very active community.
