Since there is no archive of this list, I apologize in advance if
this has already been mentioned.
The window manager does not honor an applications request for window
placement geometry. This can be easily shown by using our
application, OpenDX, and comparing with a window manager like mwm.
I've also heard that there is problems with the window manager
honoring window size requests as well. I have also had problems with
the hardware OpenGL portion of the X server working with our
software. If someone working on X11 would like a copy of our software
to play with, please mail me off list and I will authorize a download
to use for testing.
