Need PseudoColor, not TrueColor, visual

  • Subject: Need PseudoColor, not TrueColor, visual

I have an application that needs to be able to select a
PseudoColor, not TrueColor, visual to run.

According to xdpyinfo however, only TrueColor visuals
are available.

On other systems I would mess with /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
to get the visuals I needed by including a Depth 8 entry
in the Display sub-section, but there doesn't seem to
be such a configuration file on the Mac.

Any suggestions ?

david
