Hello again,
Thanks to Eric Hoch (vielen Dank f|r die schnelle Antwort, leider habe ich
bis jetzt noch keinen "Durchbruch" geschafft), he tried to help, yet I
haven't managed yet to do it his way. There may be a problem with different
file locations in different directories, I don't know yet... Yet I have
found something else which may be of interest for the majority of you ? an
application which can help the most of you using German, Spanish, Dutch,
Swedish, Italian... It has helped me so far to get in X11 at least the
German keyboard, which is much more familiar for me to use than the
English/American and its confusing position of "z" and "y". I'm talking
about "X11 Launcher v1.0". You can download it at
http://orane.org.free.fr/ It is a free utility and easy to use. With it the
majority of non-English users will have their keyboard in X11 (I_m with my
language not so lucky), but as far as I have seen it doesn't solve the
keymodifier problem. So still work left to be done.
By the way, is it possible to do the following: to convert for example the
file Slovenian.keylayout (a unicode keyboard mapping file or something like
that which I have in the directory
/System/Library/Keyboard Layouts/Unicode.budle/Contents/Resources
Into a languagename.keymapping file, which are found in the directory
System/Library/Keyboards
???
Then it would be just one more step to add them to the before mentioned X11
Launcher application (that would be then one of my next questions in some
following mail, of how to do that, hehe)
Now I'm about to try out all the found advices of how to solve the
keymodifier problem. If nothing will work be sure I'll be writing it here,
;)))
