OpenView issue

  • Subject: OpenView issue
  • From: Jeff Richmond <email@hidden>

Has anyone had any problems running HP OpenView (or any of its derivatives)
with Apple's X11? Last night I had a call from my work's NOC with a problem
on our network. We use Lucent's Naviscore, which is really just HP OpenView,
and I figured I would try out the Apple X-11 server instead of my usual
X11R6/Orobor combo. Anyway, the NC/OV map began to open up just fine, but as
the SNMP trap log was displaying it crashed. Since I was somewhat in a time
crunch to fix the issue, I switched over to my old X11/Orobor server and was
able to run NC/OV just fine. Has anyone successfully run OV with the Apple
X11 server?

Thanks!
-Jeff
