Where do I find the system default xinitrc?
It's in /etc/X11, but AFAIK Apple's X11.app doesn't use it. XDarwin
does, though...
Thanks for your help.
As far as I can tel, the file in /etc/X11/xinit does not appear to be
used at all. It is setup to use twm. When I run oborosx (or whatever
it's called), it (slowly) brings up the X server (Xdarwin) and starts
the oborosx wm. Apple's X server uses their Xquarts server and apple's
quartz-wm window manager. X11 somehow (magically) starts, I don't think
the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc in either case. The window manager exec in
/etc/X11/xinit, which clearly does not being used using either Xserver,
Could it be that Xquartz does have a documented system default?
What I'm trying to do is find the proper place for establishing my
Xdefaults, Xapplresdir, and xhost grants, It it helps, I did install
apple's X11 over Xdarwin I know how to setup my own .xinitrc, but I
would really like to now "how the system works" before I change it..
Any help would be great!
