What you are seeing is not done by the window manager, but by xterm.
Window managers don't control the interior portion of application windows.
Thanks for the correction; I'm not a regular X11 user.
Are you looking for an xterm replacement that has better scrollbars...
Maybe I want a Mac-compatible xterm replacement.
As for better xterms, have you tried Terminal.app? I much prefer it over
xterm, though obviously it can't be used from a remote machine.
I use Terminal.app for most things, but I'm working on an X11-based app
(actually, Perl/Tk) which runs on a FreeBSD machine. To run it, I:
* start up X11
* ssh -X <host>
* run the app
If I could run the app in a regular ssh session, I could use Terminal's
scrollbars, etc. When I try this, however, the app complains:
couldn't connect to display ":0" at .../Tk/MainWindow.pm line 55.
Maybe I just need a way to tell the app how to reach my X11 server. Help?
