In addition to the base UNIX environment Apple also has a development
environment Project Builder which include java, object c and interfaces for
Carbon and Quartz.. Back in the 'old' days of System 7 MPW or Symantec C
were the tools ..
Today this in OS X you now have gcc and Apples version
Of the project builder named Xcode with Panther
