No you're not insane, it's a known problem. I hoped that this would be
fixed in the final version too. :-(
Given this behavior, I don't understand how anyone can use Apple's
X11 in conjunction with CodeTek Virtual Desktop, but it seems
that some people do and are quite happy.
Well, you can use it as long as you only open your X11 windows on one
of your virtual desktops, but you're right, I don't see how anyone
could be happy with that.
For what its worth, the OroborOSX project has fixed this behavior
long ago, but I'm not sure exactly how they fixed it. I do
find Apple's X11 to be zipper though so I'd rather use it if
possible.
Yeah that's right, OroborOSX worked perfectly, it was because the
developer worked together with CodeTek to make sure that it did.
Apple did go as far as adding support for the move events required by
CodeTek VirtualDesktop. But it looks as if they haven't been willing to
address any remaining issues. :-(
I really hope they'll take a look at fixing this, IMHO CodeTek
VirtualDesktop really is a must have application for Mac OS X. Exposi
is cute, but it doesn't even come close to virtual desktops.
