I've been having some trouble running some apps through X11
(specifically installing KDE) which prompted me to remove it from my
Tibook800. After removing the X11 icon from Apps:Utilities, and
deleting the X11 and X11R6 dirs in usr and usr/lib I tried to reinstall
the X11 package from Panther CD3. However, the installer says that it
cannot install as there is a 'newer version of the package already
installed.'
I'm guessing (hoping) this means that I've overlooked some files to
remove in order to tell 10.3.2 that X11 has been completely removed (or
was never installed to begin with)- but I'm not sure what to do.
Has anybody resolved this situation before, or has any tips that can
help me out?
Thanks,
Marcus
