One comment. If -X is working correctly, then upon connecting from
hostA to hostB, you'll see the DISPLAY on hostB set to something weird
like
hostB:52.0 or hostB:28.0
instead of the usual
hostA:0.0
this is all in the man page, but who reads man pages? :-)

I did add an entry onto the remote server in my ~/.bash_profile that
reads:
export DISPLAY=ip address:0 but still get this response, even after
doing a "source ~/.bash_profile"
Can anyone help?
