I am trying to achieve the same thing (especially now I have a nice
and compact 12" powerbook!).
I assume you've seen megazoomer? Which does what you want for standard
cocoa apps. I assume that quartz-wm links against the regular cocoa
libraries, so I'm going to try class-dump on it and see if I can't
hack a full screen option in.
I'll let you know.
