I'm having a problem with X11 crashing with a certain remote app.
X11 works fine remotely with xcalc, xclock, etc. The crashing app
works fine using Cygwin in Windows XP. I believe the app uses
Java. Here are some of the log entries and so forth.
What's the application? I'd like to try to reproduce the problem.
(Also, what version of Tiger are you running, did you install X11
Update 2006, what machine are you using, and what is the remote
machine?)
Exact behavior:
Open X11 Terminal.
ssh -Y root@srvrname
Have you tried using -X instead of -Y?
tpssm (or SMclient... they are both storage managers)
The splash screen appears for the application.
Then, the terminal window disappears and X11 crashes.
Ok, so tpssm and/or SMclient are the ones that crash X11.app?

You don't happen to have 3.4 GB of RAM lying around, do you? ;)
