I found the click_through was working until the a6 release.

For those that need this the command in Leopard is

defaults write org.x.X11.plist enable_click_through -bool true

This works for me.

In Leopard, If I start the latest OpenOffice, the first window works OK.
But additional windows come up but never can get the focus. I have to
kill X11!

I found this to be true of some X11 apps under OS 10.4 too.

I've found a workaround as some of our critical, custom X11 apps have this problem:

Enter the following commands in a terminal window, then quit and restart X11.

defaults write com.apple.x11 wm_click_through -bool true

defaults write com.apple.x11 wm_ffm -bool true

Check your current settings with 'defaults read com.apple.x11'
