Peter,
I manually built a libGLw.a from the Mesa sources as a static lib. It
appears to work in general (in that opensolar.c can be built and run).
I am able to use it to build molmol under fink as well. However molmol
still starts up as Motif/X11 instead of Motif/OpenGL so something
strange is going on with libGLw under Leopard.
                  Jack
ps Since molmol starts up as Motif/X11, all of the molecular
rendering appears as flat two representations without any 3D
depth. This is the same behavior I saw when using the old
sgi-widgets source to build a static libGLw.a. Oddly this
same approach works fine under Linux so I think we may be
seeing some odd side-effect of needing to use the libGL
framework hack.
