While I could establish a connection with the error being reported, I
could not run an xterm or any application on the remote system that
would open an X window. I had to restore the "export DISPLAY=:0.0" to
~/.bash_profile.

Unless your X connection is not working, I believe you can safely
ignore that error message.

I've removed X11.app from the Dock and the start on login. I also
removed the DISPLAY statement from .bash_profile.
Now, if I execute the following command in the Apple Terminal window,
I get the error listed in the Subject line.
slogin -X -Y -C -o TCPkeepalive=yes raid.my.domain.com
I've even tried the "New Remote Connection" option in the Apple
Terminal Shell drop-down menu with the same results. Is this new? I
preferred using an xterm and rarely used Terminal.app.
