I just followed the steps on your script I installed everything
manually just because i like to back up (make a *.orig) of all the
file being updated. Did you say you do not get the white xterm?
because I still do. I know this is trivial compared to all the other
more pressing issues but.

I think you're missing the point. /Applications/Utilities/X11.app
*IS* xterm. Launching that just runs xterm. launchd notices
this and starts /usr/X11/X11.app. If you don't like having
launchd support, check out the first item in our FAQ: http://www.x.org/wiki/XDarwin_FAQ
