Ran the script too and noticed you are also backing to *old.
Still, white pesky xterm.

I think you're missing the point. /Applications/Utilities/
X11.app *IS* xterm. Launching that just runs xterm. launchd
notices this and starts /usr/X11/X11.app. If you don't like
having launchd support, check out the first item in our FAQ: http://www.x.org/wiki/XDarwin_FAQ
