Thanks for that writeup. I too am now back on the Tiger X11, and I'm
much happier. Even Spaces seems to work better with it (although its
still a bit jumpy for my tastes).
One thing I would add, is that instead of removing the X11 directory I
did the following:
sudo pkgutil --unlink com.apple.pkg.X11User
which represents the debut (for me at least) of something that us Mac
OS X users have been wanting for ages: A package *uninstaller*!
Does anyone know the internals of Spaces well enough to know how to
stop it from automatically switching screen either globally or for a
specific apps?
