X11.app 2.3.2rc4 regression: 2 copies of X11.app running, the active one uses :0 instead of launchd

When I first start X11.app, everything works; after several minutes things break, with the following in the console log:

Here I stopped X11.app.  This required selecting the quit menu item twice, repeatably.

An additional unrelated problem is:

I am reinstalling the rc just in case something went wrong when I applied it this morning (after installing 10.5.6).
