X11 crashing in Leopard

  • Subject: X11 crashing in Leopard

Hej,

I have recently installed Leopard on my Intel MacBook Pro and after a
week or so X11 stopped working.

This is what I have tried to fix the problem:
deleteing old X11 stuff from the system
     reinstalling X11User.pkg, X11SDK.pkg, and the latest (2.1.3) X11 release
removing all attempts to setting the DISPLAY

Unfortunately without result.

When I try to run xterm from a terminal window I usually get either
these error messages:

Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
Broken pipe

Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
X connection to /tmp/launch-qlXXvC/:0 broken (explicit kill or server
shutdown).

set | grep LC set | grep LOCALE

does not give any output.

This is what is written in system.log when I try to run xterm:
