X11.app actually does have some Cocoa, and we should be able to eventually purge all the old Carbon code at some point, but priorities are on other issues at the moment... so it *can* use Cocoa, but isn't 100% cocoa yet.

As far as making this a feature... it is possible, but there are a ton of higher priority bits right now.

Alt-click move is a WM feature... OSX doesn't support this (or atleast
doesn't by default... you said you enabled it somehow, but I don't know
how... can you please fill me in), so quartz-wm doesn't.

Sure, there's no intrinsic support, but there are a few apps that can do it. The only one that's actually worth using as far as I can tell is actually an inputmanager more or less that operates at the cocoa level to make it work, it's called afloat and can be found here http://infinite-labs.net/afloat/. Anyway, since I know X11.app doesn't, and can't, use cocoa, I was wondering if it ever would support doing such things in quartz-wm.

Hey guys. The feature mentioned in the subject line on this one is
one that I use a great deal in all operating systems other than osx,
and have recently started getting it in osx with afloat (tried a few
others but none really work well) but since that works at the cocoa
layer, x11 windows will not work with it. Is there any chance that
XQuartz might at some point support full window dragging like that as
an option? I realize it wouldn't be a priority, but it seems worth it
to ask.
