Greetings, Earthlings.
I got the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. I didn't like it at
first, and probably wouldn't have bought it had I been able to try it at
the store, but I'm gradually getting used to it.
My biggest concern is that it feels much too big for my hand. Being a
bullfrog, I'm a big guy with big hands. I can't imagine a small person
using it.
But then my previous mouse was the Apple Puck, which is quite small. So
I hope to get used to the size.
(I have a MacBook Pro, but it has suffered several warranty-voiding
accidents; I won't be able to repair it anytime soon. So for now I'm
using my ancient - and slow! - Blue and White G3).
My choice resulted from the intersection of your recommendations and
what was in stock at the stores I visited. It set me back me back
thirty-nine dollars and change at Fry's. It's available online for a
few dollars less.
I would have liked to try a Logitech, but heeded your warnings about bad
drivers. I needed a mouse that Just Works. I'm really surprised a
company like Logitech doesn't actually have the best Mac support in the
business - how hard can it be to write a mouse driver?
After I've had more experience with my new mouse, I'll post a review on
my website and post its URL on this list. I'll probably publish it at:

Thank you all so very much for your kind advice.

Software isn't the only thing that should be free:
Music should be too, as it once was.
