This is a known problem with our support for the spaces preference for
"switch to a space containing the application when switching
applications" . We don't support the "off" mode well...

Hi Peter:
I have the same problem, too, using the same versions of everything
running on a new Mac Mini.
If I select X11 a second time using command-tab, the windows do all
come to the front. If I use the dock to switch to X11, it works the
same way. The first click activates X11; the second brings all its
windows forward.

Hi,
I'm having a problem with task switching. When I command-tab to
X11, the X11
windows somehow do not come 'to the front'. I can see them if I
double-tap
expose (F10) . Is there some way to correct this?
I tried installing the latest version of xquartz from sourceforge
(2.4.0). I
am running 10.5.8
I'm a bit worried I may have messed up my xquartz installation - so
yesterday I did a clean reinstall of Leopard (backing up from time
machine).
I also followed the FAQ for de-installing X11 and then reinstalled
2.4.0.
However, the problem persists.
thanks in advance
Peter
