Yeah, that's a known issue with xterm. The same binary fails on SL
that works on Leopard, so there's nothing that I can really do right
now. You can just set that resource in your ~/.Xresources to work
around it for now... My "fix" for it in 2.4.1 will be to just enable
that option by default.
I also have been having some really flaky cut-buffer problems between
X and Apple apps. Mostly cut X text doesn't get into the Apple cut-
buffer.
This code is identical to what is in 2.4.0 and I think is the same as
what's in 2.3.3.2. Please be specific and file a bug report at http://xquartz.macosforge.org
The only known issue with the pasteboard sync is dealing with
"special" types.
And lastly, I lost my cool new X server icon in the dock. ;-)
Yeah... the "OSX" version needed to keep the old X11 icon...
I thought I understood that the server and clients can be installed
separately, but I'm not sure how to do that.
Well, the package we distribute is the server and core apps and libs,
but you don't need a server on the system to install the client libs
and binaries...
What's very disgraceful
(on my part) is that 95% of my X11 use is running xterms.
That pretty much goes for me, too... although I've been spending time
working on other apps to replace some apps with X11 versions (I've got
firefox-x11 3.5.2 working in MacPorts, and I use pan for usenet, etc).
