I guess I don't have the correct resource set. I have been using:

xterm*geometry: 80x40

This has always worked until now. The xterm *is* 80x40, but when I edit
a file vim thinks the geometry is 80x24. Is there another resource to set?

Maybe it just seems that it's happening more often my SL install. It's
so random, it's difficult to submit a bug report if I can't provide a
way to duplicate it.

That's funny. The only things I really need is a server and a xterm. I
run all of my remote xterms on the remote machine, via a ssh exec.

I'll play with this some more and see if I can provide more details on
any problems. If you need someone to help test 2.4.1, let me know.
