Yes. MacPorts+Snow Leopard and another machine with Leopard+Fink. No
issues.
I have installed xemacs from both macports and from fink (the latter
is 21.4.20) on my new MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and also the
macports one on a desktop G5 running Leopard. In all of these cases
the startup of the initial xemacs window is excruciatingly slow,
several minutes.
I had a problem similar to this years ago on a linux box, it was
something to do with the emacs not being able to resolve the host name
of my computer. Once the host name was fixed (by sticking it in the
hosts file IIRC) the problem went away. I don't know if this is the
same issue you're having.
