devedit (SILVACO) operation on X WIndow

Dear experts of X11,

I have difficulty in operating 'devedit 2.8.7.R' by SILVACO through X
Window (XQuartz 2.3.4 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple45)).  Problem is that I
can only activate it and quit it by closing the application window.  I
can neither input anything or even access tabs by cursor.  Does anyone
know how to get on with it, please ?
