I don't see this problem very frequently. As I said originally,
it appears that this happens after I have switched the KVM from
my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard to my Mac Mini running Tiger.
One thing that possibly could be related is that I'm running the
Microsoft Intellikey on the Mac Mini to support my ``Natural''
keyboard, but not on the Macbook Pro since I'm not sure if this
would cause problems on its main keyboard.
I typically have at least 25 xterms open, mostly using clusterssh
to initiate connections to remote Linux machines. The non-X11
applications that are usually running include Safari, FireFox,
Mail.app, OmniFocus, and NetNewsWire. The most common use for me
to copy from X11 is to paste URLs from mutt into Safari.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American
decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against
the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader,
I meant people.
