XQuartz 2.5.0 frustrating respawn

Hello all,

I've been using the Macport of xorg-server for a few days and it likes to respawn whenever I quit the app even though no process relying on it is running. Seems to me this happens a lot on my machines with Xquartz instead of Apple's supplied X11.

Any help would be appreciated.
