Finally got around to looking into the nxmachine issues with 2.5.0 and it looks like they have released an update to the Mac OS X client. Appears to be working for me. Solves the problem, but doesn't really address the issue I guess.
ROME, Italy, March 31, 2010 - NoMachine has made available the new NX Client 3.4.0 package for Mac OSX providing the fix for the following issue:
• NX Client may fail to run the session on Mac OS X 10.6.3.
Supported NX Client Mac OS X platforms
Mac OS/X PPC/i386 - 10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6
