Not sure this has anything to do with X11, but I'm seeing regular
entries of the form
(ipc/send) invalid destination port:
CGSColorProfileCreateWithColorProfileID: Cannot resolve color profile
id(12)
in my Macbook Pro 7.1 system.log, most often from the SecurityAgent.
These occur after I logged back into an open session from the login
screen, regardless of whether I changed my external monitor while at
the login screen.
Yesterday, my X11.org 2.6.2 server hung after spitting out this error,
just after I launched a sudo command. Annoyingly, this (?) caused a
deadlock which prevented me from running sudos from other shells
(rather, they all hung), until I Force-Quit the right process (no idea
what that one was, however). I did a 'shutdown -r' immediately, and
had to wait for a couple of non-identified apps which didn't exit
properly.
A day or 2 before, I reconnected an external monitor after not having
had access to one for a bit, and upon logging in, I was greeted by a
slew of those messages, coming from all open apps, PRINTED BOOT-LOG
STYLE on the LCD panel, and my session was killed. I rebooted, and in
this case too there were zombies around that had to be killed the hard
way before the machine actually rebooted.
I checked and repaired my ICC profiles, to no avail. The incriminated
id is always 12, but I have no idea how to match that to an actual
profile.
I'm reporting this here because X11.org does seem the most affected.
Any thoughts? I couldn't find any explanation of these errors via
Google (lots of hits, though).
René
