I have essentially the same.
Still stand by what I said though which is it isn't 'easy' (i.e., out-the-box). You have to manually know to set up the above alias.
This *is* OS X; if you're going to work from a command line instead of the Finder like Jobs intended, you're assumed to know those kinds of tricks. :)
