No.
Ahem, of course you can, xorg-server ("X11.app") is nothing but a newer version
of XQuartz, and XQuartz was built independently from (or to be independent of MacPorts).
But you'd have to build everything manually and figure out for each of the numerous
dependencies if there is a system version that is recent enough. Not worth the hassle,
IMHO.
My answer was in the context as to whether to not MacPorts provides a
means to do it, or supports it. The answer to both those is no. Of
course, if you want you could yourself build yourself whatever
application you want. But that was not the question I was answering.
