I’m not on an M1 machine though….this is a 2015 iMac running Mojave.
I do think its a somewhat common issue that I am seeing as having to do with
updating to 2.8x from 2.7 and not doing it properly. I’m going to try
uninstalling a few more times with some combinations of version installs.
