You have to close and/or quit Xcode and IB and reopen everything before
it works.
I've created many subclasses in IB for which I then generated the source
files and never had a problem to associate them to the project. Is the nib
part of the project?
-Laurent.
It seems to happen with a new project. Create a new
project, double click the nib to start IB. Create a new
subclass of NSObject. Save the NIB file. Now try to Create
Files for your new object. In the Save Panel, in the lower
right where it's supposed to have your project, instead it
says "No Applicable Projects". I have to close both the
nib file and the project and reopen them to get it to show
correctly.
As far as filing a bug, I think the first time I reported
this on the list, someone said it was reported, but I'm
not sure. I suppose I could do it again - I didn't want to
double up.
