Xcode's openness

I know that it's not actually this list's subject of interest, but
here's my question :
are there any plans to open Xcode to other languages than the C-type
family (++, java, ...) ?
Personnaly, I use quite esoteric languages (like Eiffel) and would like
to use Xcode not only for coding, but also to write LaTeX documents ...
It would only be a matter of giving free developpers decent tools to
write modules for other languages ; if Xcode is made like it seems to
me, this should not be a big effort ...
Or does anyone know about a (even minimalistic) tutorial or doc about
writing such modules ?
Thanks
