They're just all the PDFs that were once bundled with the Xcode Tools
release bundled together for the convenience of those that like to have
PDFs for printing and reading outside of an HTML reference.
You can put the PDFs anywhere that's convenient for you. I un-bin them,
convert the partitioned disk image to a single disk image, and archive
it along with the Xcode Tools release disk image as reference material.
It's handy to have the PDFs on a CD as a reference library sometimes.
They're not part of Xcode's documentation search facility, never were,
so there's no need to do anything special to install or integrate them
into the /Developer folder tree.

Right, but I think what the OP wondered, as do I, is: is there some
sort
of 'standard' place where these files should be installed? The layout
is
similar to /Developer/ADC Reference Library, should the files be merged
into there?
