Right, but I think what the OP wondered, as do I, is: is there some sort
of 'standard' place where these files should be installed?  The layout is
similar to /Developer/ADC Reference Library, should the files be merged
into there?

You correctly identify my wonderment. I guess if there's no links or way for anyone but me to get to the PDFs, I can put them wherever I want. But, I'd be strongly tempted to put them in /Developer/ADC Reference Library, and it looks like a merge is then necessary.
